MYKITA and 032c release a collaboration piece interpreting the fashion label’s aesthetic vision using the proprietary high-tech MYLON material of the eyewear brand. MARFA debuted at the 032c Readytowear SS24 presentation in Paris on 23 June and is expected in stores early 2024.
MYKITA and 032c are internationally known for embodying the independent Berlin spirit – two progressive institutions rising from the city’s dynamic creative scene of the early 2000s and attracting a global fan base with their unconventional approach to their respective fields and clear aesthetic vision
The collaborative eyewear design encapsulates 032c’s aesthetic that is an allegory for freedom, research, and creativity through a voluminous wraparound design with organic lines and a sculptural feel. MARFA is made from MYLON®, a material innovation pioneered by MYKITA that allows for maximum volume with minimal weight. The cylindrical eyewear silhouette features lenses cut from a rounded shield at a slightly tilted axis. This creates a surreal lens reflection that adds to the overall biomechanical, Gigeresque appeal of the statement frame.
MARFA is available in four colorways: Pitch Black with Dark Grey Solid lens, Safari Green with Silver lens, Ebony Brown and Cashmere Grey both with Cedar Brown lens. Handcrafted at the MYKITA HAUS in Berlin.
The MYKITA | 032c collaboration also presents a complementary selection of co-branded style accessories, including a 100% silk logo scarf in black and white, a key ring and tray in soft, pebbled leather with embossed branding. All items are designed by 032c – silk scarf is made in Italy, and leather goods from Spain.
MARFA and accessories will be available from early 2024 in MYKITA Shops, the 032c Workshop in Berlin and selected retailers worldwide, as well as online via mykita.com and 032c.com/store.
