MORE THAN JUST AN EYEWEAR CASE
When you want a collection of glasses that is 100% made in Switzerland, you also have to think about where and how a case is made. For this reason, a new eyewear case has been developed for the sustainable Götti BIONIC collection. This case, which is also produced in Switzerland, includes many innovative ideas.
New ideas are needed, as sustainability is directly related to the material, including procurement, production and distribution. The focus is on reduction and simplification – exactly the same ideas that are behind Götti BIONIC. The minimalist case is made of 5 individual parts, which are delivered as a kit. It takes only little space in the storage – a great side effect, as there is often a lack of storage space in smaller shops. Certainly a little unusual but all the more exciting, the eyewear case is assembled in front of the customer‘s eyes. In this way, the idea behind the sustainable case can be brought to life. In just a few steps, two different types of cases can be made from the individual parts. Horizontal or vertical – and with a cord as a fashion accessory to wear around your neck.
NEW CASE GÖTTI BIONIC
The flexible vinyl leather is connected with the button parts in just a few clicks. This button holds the case together and also acts as a closure for the construction. It is the core of the eyewear case, was developed by Götti and is also produced in Switzerland. The durable material is ideal as a connecting piece and allows you to easily reassemble the case when needed. Together with a cleaning cloth made out of recycled PET, the case is delivered with every pair of BIONIC glasses.
An eyewear case that is made in Switzerland from A to Z is an absolute novelty. “This case perfectly rounds off the story behind Götti BIONIC and underlines the idea of slow eyewear with 100% Swissness, which we also pursue with our eyewear,“ says Sven Götti. When it comes to sustainability, reduction to a few parts, minimal energy consumption and short transport routes are essential. These factors all flow into this eyewear case concept.
