The story of Atelier Mira begins with the culmination of decades of experience in independent eyewear distribution intersected with a deep appreciation of precision opticianry.

Our latest venture is a concept optical boutique based in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, offering high-quality services, a curated selection of handmade frames and sunglasses, as well as other luxury accessories. The space, open since 2016, offers a large gallery-like show room, a full-service optical laboratory.

The Position:

Atelier Mira is looking for an entrepreneurial go-to person with experience in optics and a true passion for eyewear, design and fashion.

The candidate must have poise and confidence in both styling and servicing eyewear within an open-minded yet professional work environment.

This position requires a diploma in ophthalmic dispensing, and experience consulting, fitting and troubleshooting optical lenses & visual needs of patients.

Responsibilities:

Duties for this optician position include, but are not limited to:

Frame styling, advising on fit, adjustments, repairs, and cleaning of optical and sunglass frames.
Selling, measuring, ordering, cutting, inspecting, and dispensing of optical quality prescription lenses.
Corresponding with clients in person and following up via email, telephone, and text.
Sufficient computer skills for operation of POS software and sales transactions.
Maintaining the housekeeping and visual standards of the store.
