GLEAMING TRANSPARENCIES, OPAQUE CONTRASTS- 3 NEW ACETATE STYLES REVEALED BY TREE SPECTACLES

True to their innovative spirit and specialist techniques to create refined surfaces and finishes, Tree Spectacles present optical models Malia, Dite and Ada, a series distinguished by technical precision and mastery of Italian artisan style.

Lightweight yet bold in structure, the new frames reinvent the concept of 3 dimensionality with playful contrasts in texture and surface and elegant interpretations of the transparency trend. The fronts of the frames have a refined sculptural quality, and the intriguing two-tone effects create a play of light. A natural color palette with tones of amber, dark green and dark grey is punctuated by bright translucent red and a magnificent delicate tone of lilac.

The three new styles in the Acetate Bold Series have the distinctive 5mm thick fronts – a signature feature of the TREE label.

Model MALIA in the BOLD SERIES has a striking square eye shape with an architectural construction. Parts of the frame front (red and lilac colorways) have undergone a very skilful laser technique to create the opaque surface of the inner rim. The frame also comes in transparent amber and a solid classic black.

The strong square statement profile of the men’s model DITE in the BOLD SERIES offers a fine example of the trend for thick rimmed acetates this season. The frame comes in solid black, translucent dark green, and the beautifully crafted two-tone shiny/opaque contrast in dark grey/light grey and black/light grey.

The third frame in the series - model ADA – has a confident, rectangular eye shape with a flattened brow line. The frame comes in the two-tone shiny/opaque contrast in black/grey, and green/grey as well as transparent red and transparent amber.

“Since first launching in 2011, we have continued on the same path with the same philosophy. We design collections with clean, minimal, refined lines and details. We take care to use innovative technical solutions and advanced materials from Italy and Japan.” - Marco Barp, TREE SPECTACLES, Co-Founder.

Marco Barp, Co-Founder of TREE SPECTACLES, has grown up in a family of eyewear producers in Belluno, Italy. His first collection launched at MIDO in 2012, the result of intense R&D to create niche ‘Made in Italy’ products in layers of wood ‘sandwiched’ with carbon fibre – a design innovation which was quickly praised (and patented) for its lightness, comfort, flexibility, and unique beauty. Today the company produces a wide variety of collections including luxury and design series in wood/carbon fibre, buffalo horn, titanium and bio acetate.
