In 1919 Sidney and Percy Kirk took up that challenge and two generations later, Jason and Karen Kirk are still guided by their principles. A century of imagination has led us to this moment, articulated in our new campaign, Embrace the Light.
K-Lite™ is our acrylic material, unique to Kirk & Kirk.
It was imagined in Karen Kirk’s studio, a world of colourful glassware from the 60’s and 70’s, a world where light transforms objects, where shadows dance and ignite the imagination.
K-Lite™ reflects the translucence of Karen’s atelier.
The glass-like frames welcome the light. Bespoke colourways complement unique skin tones to create the unmistakable look of Kirk & Kirk.
But K-Lite™ is not just aesthetically pleasing. It is also functional.
This versatile material is about 70% lighter than acetate and incredibly comfortable to wear. Our 10mm collections weigh next to nothing and nestle on your bridge like a whisper.
K-Lite™ represents the future of optics, while maintaining the values acquired through generations of skilled craftsmen and women, innovators and explorers.
There are no shortcuts. K-Lite™ is created in sheet form and hand-made the old-fashioned way in our artisanal factories in France and Italy. A juxtaposition of futuristic technology and skilled hand work, garnered through decades of human experience, come together to form eyewear of the most exacting, optical standards. The future is coming hard and fast. Optics must welcome the inevitable and Embrace the Light.
Our new campaign incorporates that future. A combination of human models and AI enhancements allows us to usher in our destiny, while respecting our past and our present.

Launching at Silmo, ‘Falcon’ and ‘Cat’, two new styles in our Centiles Collection.
Hand-made in France from our bespoke K-Lite™ material, Falcon and Cat embody the spirit of Karen Kirk’s design.
Each edge, each angle is polished by hand to accentuate the transmission of light.
Our new Lagoon colourway plays to the strengths of this 10mm collection. The blues and greens enhance frames such as Thor, previous winner of a Silmo D’Or, and Blaze, a celebrity favourite.
