We are Westchester County’s newest destination for independent handmade eyewear and state-of-the-art eye care. We are seeking a fashion-forward individual with strong customer service skills to join our team! Nestled 30 minutes north of New York City in Dobbs Ferry, NY, we take inspiration from our beautiful setting in the Hudson Valley and our community of artists, makers, and entrepreneurs. We are passionate about beautiful, well-made glasses, which is why we work exclusively with independent eyewear brands and the highest quality lenses and treatments. We have a personalized approach to patient care, which is why all visits are by appointment only, and we adhere to strong covid precautions.
Responsibilities include:
Patient reception and pre-testing
Eyewear styling and sales
Contact lens sales
Insurance verification and claims
Communicating with patients via phone and email
This is a full time position, Tuesday through Saturday

You will likely be a good fit if:
You have a passion for independent/luxury eyewear
You have previous optical experience
If lacking previous optical experience, you have undertaken a relevant undergraduate course of study or have succeeded in other customer-facing and administrative roles
You’re a quick learner, capable of using a variety of software applications to perform your job
You value authenticity, local business, local artists, and products that embody passion and quality over mass production
While optical experience will be strongly weighted, we are also eager to train an enthusiastic applicant who wants to break into the eyewear industry.
