Dansharian is an independent brand born from the collaboration between Alain Miklitarian and Danshari. The reason behind the choice of this name can be traced back to the designer’s Armenian origins. In fact, in Armenia the suffix “ian” indicates paternity, therefore Dansharian is the “son of” Danshari and Alain Miklitarian.

This Armenian Soul collection is thus entirely inspired by Armenian nature and culture, Alain tried to convey through shapes and colors the colorful and joyful soul of this country. The laminated temples are made of acetate with a colored titanium core, finely chiseled with decorations and ornaments typical of ancient Armenian architecture. The shades of the titanium and the transparences of the acetates capture the light with discretion and delicacy, as it happens in these villages perched on the mountains and surrounded by nature. 

Every Dansharian model is characterized by the Flat Temple System (FTS), a patent which allows the perfect closure and overlapping of the temples, without stressing the lenses or causing any deformation of the frame. To make the most of it, it is advisable to always close the right temple and then the left, in this sequence. Each model requires the highest quality Japanese manufacturing, and it results in an iconic harmony of shapes and details.
